However, the company\u2019s trading team identified potential in one of the engines and proposed a repair solution instead of full dismantlement.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"698\" data-end=\"973\">Rather than parting out all three engines, AerFin\u2019s engineers replaced the 21X and 22X modules of the selected unit with serviceable components sourced from another engine in the same package. The entire operation was carried out at the company\u2019s MRO facility in South Wales.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"975\" data-end=\"1245\">By conducting the complex module swap internally, AerFin was able to reduce turnaround time, lower costs and significantly increase the commercial value of the repaired engine. A successful test cell run followed, confirming the engine\u2019s readiness for return to service.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1247\" data-end=\"1697\">Simon Bayliss, chief operating officer at AerFin, said: \u201cThis is a fantastic result for the business. At AerFin, we pride ourselves on seeing value where others don\u2019t. Not only have we recovered value from an engine that may otherwise have been parted out, but we\u2019ve demonstrated a new level of agility in how we manage and maintain engine material. It\u2019s a real testament to the capability we\u2019ve built in-house \u2013 and this is just the beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1699\" data-end=\"1896\">With the successful repair now complete, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aerfin.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AerFin<\/a> says it has three distinct options for the remaining engines: teardown, lease, or resale &#8211;
