Users of the leading Descartes transport management system (TMS) can now quote and book air cargo thanks to a tie-up with the cargo.one digital platform.<\/p>\n
The Descartes\u2019 TMS now includes cargo.one’s Air Freight Integration Module, allowing freight forwarders to search, compare, quote and book capacity with directly in the TMS.<\/p>\n
Air freight booking details are automatically uploaded into the freight forwarder\u2019s Descartes solution, removing the need for manual data entry and making shipment management and tracking easier and faster.<\/p>\n
The partnership has gone live meaning customers of Descartes\u2019 TMS can procure air freight rates on demand via cargo.one. Users also have the option to upgrade to cargo.one pro.<\/p>\n
Kenneth Wood, executive vice president of product management, at Descartes, said: \u201cIntegrating cargo.one\u2019s global carrier connectivity within our TMS helps customers gain ground in delivery performance, differentiate themselves from competitors, and grow their revenue.<\/p>\n
