Eurowings is the latest airline to move away from the pure-play low-cost model with the trial introduction of a business class for it’s longer medium-haul routes.<\/p>\n

The Lufthansa subsidiary will install Geven Comoda seats in a 2×2 configuration on some of its A320 fleet. Known as ‘Premium Biz’, the seats in the new class feature adjustable backrests, ergonomic design and generous upholstery as well as significantly more space and privacy than the current seating arrangements.<\/p>\n

The new seat concept will be bookable as of August for a November launch initially on the Berlin-Dubai route<\/p>\n

In addition to the Premium Biz Seat, the airline also offers Biz Class (free middle seat and more legroom) as well as generating ancillary revenue by selling seats with more legroom at a premium.<\/p>\n

The market trials from the 2025\/26 winter timetable onwards will also provide other airlines in the Lufthansa Group with insights for the future configuration of new aircraft fleets. Eurowings itself is currently undergoing fleet renewal: Beginning in 2027, the airline is set to receive 4<\/a>0 new Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft<\/a> (range: 6,500 km).<\/p>\n
