American Express Global Business Travel has joined the campaign demanding a fundamental shake-up in how Heathrow is regulated and governed.<\/p>\n
Heathrow Reimagined is demanding UK regulator the CAA conducts an urgent and fundamental review Heathrow for the benefit of consumers, businesses, and the UK economy.<\/p>\n
Discussions are ongoing about potential solutions that won\u2019t delay the UK government\u2019s revived timetable for expansion amid what the campaign claims has been years of declining passenger experience and ageing infrastructure.<\/p>\n
New regulatory reform options have been developed with insights from other international models, although Heathrow Reimagined says it is likely Heathrow will need a bespoke solution to be effective.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for Heathrow Reimagined, said: \u201cJust last month, despite being the world\u2019s most expensive airport, Heathrow yet again failed to rank inside the Top 20 Global Rankings by Skytrax.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe urgently require a fundamental review by the CAA to understand what has gone wrong and to create a regulatory model that can deliver the Top 5 Hub airport Britain deserves.<\/p>\n
