{"id":183528,"date":"2025-05-02T12:47:58","date_gmt":"2025-05-02T11:47:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aviationbusinessnews.com\/?p=183528"},"modified":"2025-05-02T12:47:58","modified_gmt":"2025-05-02T11:47:58","slug":"wizz-air-updates-loyalty-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aviationbusinessnews.com\/low-cost\/wizz-air-updates-loyalty-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Wizz Air updates loyalty programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wizz Air has made several changes to its Wizz Discount Club (WDC) paid-for loyalty programme.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the airline offers three tiers of membership. \u2018Light\u2019, which is free to join, plus &#8216;Standard&#8217; and &#8216;Premium&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The changes, which take immediate effect, include several new perks, albeit with a higher cost bar for travellers to take advantage of the scheme.<\/p>\n<p>Benefits for passengers now include priority customer service for passengers who want to make changes to their reservations, ticket promotions only available to club members and offers specific to the customer, such as a discount on their birthday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aviationbusinessnews.com\/cabin\/ryanair-adds-prime-subscription-service\/\">Ryanair adds Prime subscription service<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Both paid-for tiers continue to include a discount for checked baggage, which is likely to be the largest draw for regular flyers.<\/p>\n<p>However, some customers will have to pay more to enrol in the scheme. The Standard tier has increased by \u20ac20 to \u20ac59.99 per annum while the Premium tier remains at \u20ac349.99. The threshold for receiving a \u20ac10 discount on flights booked with paid-for membership has gone up from \u20ac19.99 to \u20ac29.99.<\/p>\n<p>Olivia Harangozo, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air, commented: \u201cWhat we\u2019re announcing is more than an update to our WDC membership.
