{"id":183391,"date":"2025-04-25T13:48:35","date_gmt":"2025-04-25T12:48:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aviationbusinessnews.com\/?p=183391"},"modified":"2025-04-25T13:48:35","modified_gmt":"2025-04-25T12:48:35","slug":"efw-and-confity-agree-multi-aircraft-a330p2f-conversion-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aviationbusinessnews.com\/cargo\/cargo-news\/efw-and-confity-agree-multi-aircraft-a330p2f-conversion-deal\/","title":{"rendered":"EFW and Confity agree multi-aircraft A330P2F conversion deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW), the centre of excellence for Airbus freighter conversions, has signed an agreement with Confity Capital Partners (Confity), a UAE-based growth equity and investment firm, for a multi-aircraft order for its Airbus A330 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aviationbusinessnews.com\/cargo\/passenger-freighter-conversions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Passenger-to-Freighter (P2F)<\/a> programme.<\/p>\n<p>The order is part of a new partnership between the two firms to bring EFW\u2019s widebody Airbus P2F solution to operators in India in support of the sub-continent\u2019s fast-growing freight market, as well as to global customers in other emerging markets.<\/p>\n<p>The A330P2F conversions for Confity will be performed starting end-2025 at EFW\u2019s facility in Dresden, Germany, and at its partner conversion sites across the globe.<\/p>\n<p>Jet Freight Logistics, a listed Mumbai-based cargo service provider with extensive experience spanning over four decades, will be the launch customer and the first Indian cargo airline to operate the widebody Airbus P2F platform.<\/p>\n<p>The A330P2F programme comes in two variants \u2013 the A330-200P2F and the A330-300P2F \u2013 both of which are equipped with advanced technology that offer airlines impressive operational and economic benefits.<\/p>\n<p>The A330-200P2F can carry a gross payload of up to 60 tonnes for over 7,700km, while the A330-300P2F offers a gross payload of up to 62 tonnes, bringing a new paradigm of efficiency with up to 23% more cargo volume than other freighter aircraft in the same class.<\/p>\n<p>Lee London, senior vice president marketing and sales at EFW, said: &#8220;We are excited to enter into this strategic partnership with Confity to jointly provide new-generation Airbus converted widebody freighters to the Indian air cargo market.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Driven by e-commerce, domestic consumption, rising exports and infrastructure improvements, India&#8217;s air cargo market is expected to grow rapidly and hit record volumes in the years to come.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our Airbus P2F programmes can serve as a strong enabler in this trajectory, helping Indian operators and the cargo market maintain their upward momentum with proven aircraft freighter solutions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sia Ashok, managing partner at Confity, said: &#8220;This collaboration is a strategic step forward in our mission to build future-ready cargo infrastructure, driven by demand for efficient widebody freighter capacity across emerging and established markets.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The A330 platform aligns perfectly with our investment thesis, combining operational versatility with long-term asset value.
