{"id":183110,"date":"2025-04-11T15:00:42","date_gmt":"2025-04-11T14:00:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aviationbusinessnews.com\/?p=183110"},"modified":"2025-04-09T21:06:30","modified_gmt":"2025-04-09T20:06:30","slug":"mro-americas-fsg-completes-upgrade-of-component-services-facility-in-schiphol","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aviationbusinessnews.com\/mro\/latest-news-mro\/mro-americas-fsg-completes-upgrade-of-component-services-facility-in-schiphol\/","title":{"rendered":"MRO Americas: FSG completes upgrade of component services facility in Schiphol"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Aerospace solutions provider Fokker Services Group (FSG) has completed a major modernisation of its component testing, repair, and overhaul facility at Schiphol Airport.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">This initiative included extensive renovations, layout optimisations and equipment upgrades across the avionics, mechanical, hydraulics, integrated drive generator (IDG) and pneumatics repair shops.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Equipped with advanced X-ray machines, ATEC 6 systems, a flying probe, and other cutting-edge technology, FSG says this investment enhances its value proposition in the highly competitive avionics testing, repair, and overhaul market, with a particular focus on screens and instruments for A320 and B737NG platforms.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The modernisation follows the inauguration of FSG\u2019s second IDG repair shop, located in LaGrange, Georgia, USA, which was launched in 2024 to address growing demand for IDG repair support in the Americas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The USA facility, strategically located at Fokker Services America, operates under proprietary agreements with Collins Aerospace and features advanced repair and testing capabilities for CF6, CF34, and V2500 Engines &#8211; with planned expansion to CFM56 coming later in 2025, and further expansion to LEAP and PW1000G platforms in 2026-27.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The two facilities share technology, proprietary know-how, and best practices, and commit to similar On Time Delivery (OTD) promises &#8211; ensuring seamless service and increased capacity for global operators.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Dirk Hanenberg, managing director for component services at FSG, said: \u201cThe revamped component services building and new avionics shop will solidify our position in the market and pave the way for future expansion, enhance the customer experience, and boost efficiency, strengthening our position as the partner of choice for our customers who rely on a flexible and dependable approach, especially in these times of shortages.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Menzo van der Beek, chief executive of <a href=\"https:\/\/fokkerservicesgroup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FSG<\/a>, said: &#8220;These initiatives really reflect two of the core values we\u2019re most proud of. We are focused on delivering global excellence for our customers and at the same time, caring deeply for our employees.
