{"id":182900,"date":"2025-04-03T10:27:45","date_gmt":"2025-04-03T09:27:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aviationbusinessnews.com\/?p=182900"},"modified":"2025-04-04T15:21:58","modified_gmt":"2025-04-04T14:21:58","slug":"wizz-air-announces-12bn-customer-first-modernisation-plan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aviationbusinessnews.com\/uncategorized\/wizz-air-announces-12bn-customer-first-modernisation-plan\/","title":{"rendered":"Wizz Air announces \u00a312bn &#8216;Customer First&#8217; modernisation plan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>European LCC Wizz Air has announced a significant investment in it&#8217;s operations and service.<\/p>\n<p>At an event in London, the carrier launched an initiative it calls the &#8216;Customer First Compass&#8217; transformation plan.<\/p>\n<p>The airline has identified four &#8216;pillars&#8217;, namely Product, Price, Service and Communication, to improve by investing in new technology, training and processes.<\/p>\n<p>On Product, the airline is introducing 300 A320-family aircraft with Airspace interiors in order to make the fleet one of the youngest and most fuel efficient in the industry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aviationbusinessnews.com\/low-cost\/gtf-engine-problems\/\">Wizz Air to reduce capacity following GTF issues<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For Price, the airline says it is &#8216;taking steps&#8217; to ensure fare transparency with no hidden fees.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, service will be improved with clarifications with regards to the refund policy for cancelled flights.<\/p>\n<p>Disrupted customers can now expect valid claims to be processed within seven days and ticket fares refunded within 24 hours, with a clarification of the refund system.<\/p>\n<p>This marks a vast improvement from existing systems, which have long been a source of passenger&#8217;s ire.\u00a0 UK consumer rights magazine Which? named Wizz as the worst airline in terms of customer satisfaction in 2023 and noted that the airline had more than 1,600 outstanding County Court Judgements that had been brought by passengers, almost double that of the next airline on the list.<\/p>\n<p>On &#8216;Communication&#8217; things are a little less clear.
