Electronic luggage tag provider Bagtag and departure control systems provider Ink Innovation have entered into a technical partnership to make Bagtag’s platform directly available to all airlines using Ink\u2019s systems.<\/p>\n

Through this collaboration, Bagtag is now integrated into Ink’s airport systems, making it easy for airlines to implement digital baggage tagging within their check-in flows. Passengers can prepare their baggage at home using a mobile app.<\/p>\n

The tags use electronic paper similar to an e-reader, so when data has been uploaded to it, there is no need for a battery.<\/p>\n

This electronic paper concept fits in with Ink’s ‘Zero’ concept which takes passengers through check-in, bag drop, security, and boarding without paper tickets or mobile phones.<\/p>\n
